Chevrolet drivers Kurt Busch and Alex Bowman topped the leaderboard in final NASCAR Cup Series practice in Kansas.
Busch led the way with a lap of 177.731mph (30.383 seconds). Bowman clocked in second-fastest at 177.328mph.
Completing the top five were Ford drivers Clint Bowyer at 177.288mph and Kevin Harvick at 177.282mph, followed by the Toyota of Denny Hamlin at 177.241mph.
The rest of the top 10 was Chase Elliott’s Chevy at 176.713mph, Kyle Busch’s Toyota at the same 176.713mph speed, Brad Keselowski’s Ford at 176.702mph, Aric Almirola’s Ford at 176.673mph, and Jimmie Johnson’s Chevrolet at 176.494mph.
There was one incident in the session. With less than seven minutes left Larson spun in his No. 42 Chevy in Turn 1 and somehow got away with just the slightest of contact with Martin Truex Jr. Neither car was significantly damaged.
Larson was 15th-fastest at 176.183mph while Truex was 21st on the chart at 175.896mph.
