Kyle Kaiser will remain in Juncos Racing’s No.50 Cadillac DPi for this weekend’s round at Mid-Ohio.
Kaiser partnered with full-timer Will Owen in Long Beach last month to deliver a seventh-placed finish – the team’s best so far this season – as well as its first laps led when Kaiser headed the field for 14 of the 73 laps.
“I’m so glad to be back in the No. 50 Juncos Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R car for Mid-Ohio,” said Kaiser. “I’m fortunate to have a lot of experience racing there in open-wheel cars and I’m excited to utilize that experience this weekend. I really enjoy working with Will and I’m looking forward to build off of what we accomplished at Long Beach.”
Owen is also keen to build on the momentum gained in Southern California.
“I’m excited to be returning to Mid-Ohio after not racing there for almost three years,” said Owen. “It’s another classic American track, and it was always fun in open-wheel cars. I’m sure its low grip surface will be challenging in the DPi cars, so we will have to be on our game right away to find the best setup for our No 50. Cadillac DPi-V.R car. It’s also great news that Kyle is joining us too; we made a good team at Long Beach and the team found some momentum there. Hopefully we can keep that up this weekend.”
In addition to preparing for its IMSA outing this weekend, Juncos is still working on finalizing its plans for the Indianapolis 500 later this month, with Kaiser is tipped to reprise his role as driver of the team’s Chevy-powered entry.
