Team Penske drivers Ryan Blaney (photo above) and Joey Logano were fastest in the lone Friday practice at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Blaney led the way with a lap of 129.614 mph (14.804s). Logano was second quickest with a fast lap of 128.882 mph.
Completing the top five were Erik Jones (128.865 mph), Kyle Larson (128.735), and Denny Hamlin, who won last weekend (128.709).
The third Penske driver, Brad Keselowski, was sixth fastest at 128.554 mph. Then came William Byron and Chase Elliott sharing the same same lap time (128.528) followed by Daniel Suarez (128.185) and Clint Bowyer (128.142).
Defending race winner Kyle Busch was 14th fastest at 127.877 mph.
Matt Tifft, 25th fastest, ran the most laps in the session at 39.
A caution was displayed approximately 17 minutes in for fluid on the track after the No. 77 of Quin Houff began to smoke during its run.
