Red Bull has released the first images of its Honda-powered RB15, launching the 2019 car in what the team describes as a one-off livery.
The RB15 is set to run during a filming day at Silverstone on Wednesday at the same time as Mercedes, while Red Bull’s sister team Toro Rosso is also shaking down its 2019 car at Misano in Italy.
In the past Red Bull has launched a number of its cars in a pre-season livery that has been used in testing, including a black and white camouflage livery in 2015, and a blue and black color scheme last year.
Max Verstappen is due to be first to drive the RB15 at Silverstone, with further Honda running taking place with Daniil Kvyat behind the wheel of the Toro Rosso this morning. Red Bull describes the RB15 as the car that “drives the team into a new era” with Honda and the arrival of Pierre Gasly alongside Verstappen.
Following on from Mercedes, the Red Bull is the second of three cars scheduled to be unveiled on Wednesday, with Racing Point launching its new identity and livery at the Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto.
