MotoGP Silverstone race start moved up

Due to weather concerns, Sunday’s Round 12 of the 2018 MotoG World Championship has been moved forward to 11:30 local time (6:30 a.m. ET).

Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team) earned his second pole of the season in tricky conditions on Saturday, with teammate Andrea Dovizioso earning his third consecutive front-row start. Qualifying was delayed after Reale Avinita Racing’s Tito Rabat was hit by another bike and required lengthy medical attention. In an update, his team reported the rider suffered multiple fractures in his right leg.

The Silverstone race has seen five different winners in the last five years: 2018 pole-sitter Jorge Lorenzo in 2013, Marc Marquez in 2014, Valentino Rossi in a wet 2015, Maverick Vinales in 2016 and Andrea Dovizioso last season.
