Rebellion Racing driver Bruno Senna will take no further part in this weekend’s WEC 6 Hours of Silverstone, after suffering a fracture to his right ankle in his crash in the opening free practice session.
Senna lost control of his No. 1 Rebellion R-13 Gibson at the exit of Copse corner, a high-speed right-hander. Senna was treated in the track medical center and fitted with a surgical boot to stabilize the ankle.
The Rebellion team, meanwhile, has assessed the damage to the No. 1 R-13 Gibson further since the session and has confirmed to RACER that it looks set to return to track action tomorrow.
The car will miss free Practice 2 later today but is expected to be repaired in time to take part in FP3 tomorrow morning.
