Keselowski tops second Chicagoland practice

Brad Keselowski gave Team Penske a sweep of the Saturday practice sessions at Chicagoland Speedway.

Keselowski paced the final 50-minutes of practice at 180.826 mph. He was followed by the defending race winner, Martin Truex Jr., at 180.656 mph.

Ford drivers took the next four spots on the chart. Joey Logano was third fastest at 180.288 mph, Kurt Busch was fourth fastest at 179.671 mph, Aric Almirola was fifth best at 178.832 mph, and Kevin Harvick was sixth at 177.784 mph.

Completing the top 10 were Jamie McMurray (177.229 mph), Kyle Busch (177.177 mph), Erik Jones (176.424 mph), Clint Bowyer (176.321 mph).

McMurray ran the most laps in the session at 47.

Kyle Busch won the pole for this race last year. With Chicagoland Speedway hosting a two-day weekend for Cup Series teams, Busch will transition from practice to trying to earn the pole again later this evening.

There were no major incidents in final practice. However, Kyle Larson, who was 16th fastest, did make contact with the Turn 3 wall late in the going.
