DCR engineer Cannon to miss Texas

Dale Coyne Racing engineer Michael Cannon will miss the DXC Technologies 600 in Texas after falling ill in the days following last weekend’s Verizon IndyCar Series event in Detroit.

Cannon, DCR’s most tenured race engineer, normally looks after the No. 19 Honda that has been shared by Zachary Claman De Melo, Pietro Fittipaldi and Santino Ferrucci this season.

In his absence, Rob Ridgely, who engineered Pippa Mann’s Indy 500 for DCR, has been drafted in to run De Melo on his Texas Motor Speedway debut.
