Six cars are being taken to the wind tunnel for testing by NASCAR following Sunday’s Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway.
The six cars were split two from each manufacturer. Those taken by NASCAR were the Nos. 1, 4, 9, 18, 20, 22.
This is not uncommon. The sanctioning body has captured cars throughout the years when it wants to gauge the parity among manufacturers.
The cars are being taken after the seventh race of the season because NASCAR feels it is an “appropriate time in the season.”
