Kevin Harvick was fastest in both Saturday practice sessions at ISM Raceway.
Harvick put down a lap of 134.544mph to top the leaderboard over Chip Ganassi Racing driver Jamie McMurray. The fast lap for McMurray was 134.504mph.
Of the 50-minute session, Harvick only got 35 minutes of practice as he had to serve a 15-minute penalty for failing pre-qualifying inspection twice. But Harvick was also fastest in the best 10 consecutive lap average.
Completing the top five were Martin Truex Jr. at 134.454mph, Aric Almirola at 134.213mph, and Alex Bowman at 134.193mph. Truex is starting on the pole in Sunday’s race.
The rest of the top 10 were Chase Elliot (134.178mph), Kyle Larson (134.118mph), Kyle Busch (134.038mph), Erik Jones (133.993mph), and Denny Hamlin (133.988 mph).
There were no incidents in the session.
