Blaney paces final Cup practice in Vegas

Ryan Blaney finished final Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series practice at Las Vegas Motor Speedway where he’ll start the race from tomorrow: the top of the leaderboard.

The polesitter for the Pennzoil 400 paced an uneventful 50-minute session with a lap of 186.445 mph. Kyle Larson was second fastest at 186.136 mph. Larson was fastest in the two previous practice sessions.

Martin Truex Jr., who is the defending race winner, was third on the board at 186.091 mph. Hendrick Motorsports teammates Chase Elliott (186.059 mph) and rookie William Byron (186.002 mph) completed the top five.

The rest of the top 10 were: Ryan Newman (185.989 mph), Brad Keselowski (185.784 mph), Daniel Suarez (185.720 mph), Joey Logano (185.554 mph), and Erik Jones (185.478 mph).
