Sports car fans are now able to take in even more of IMSA’s storied history, as the sanctioning body announced this week the addition of IMSA GTP races to its official YouTube page.
The GTP class, most closely associated with today’s WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Prototype class, spanned from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s. Manufacturers such as Porsche, Jaguar, Nissan and Chevrolet were regular participants and competed at several tracks that the WeatherTech Championship currently visits – Watkins Glen, Road America and Mid-Ohio, among others.
The IMSA Official YouTube channel has evolved into the “go-to” place for fans, as all series races are posted in full the week following an event, along with qualifying videos, highlight reels and special presentations.
