Penske inks extension for Pagenaud sponsor DXC Technology

By

The black, white, and silver colors of DXC Technology will remain on Simon Pagenaud’s No. 22 Team Penske Chevy next season.

The 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series champion will carry DXC’s livery for six races as primary sponsor for the No. 22, and the IT services company will remain on the car as an associate sponsor for the rest of the calendar.

“Team Penske is excited to grow the partnership with DXC Technology for 2018,” Roger Penske said. “This is a technology-dependent sport and we were able to integrate DXC into our INDYCAR program this season and we will be ready to take our performance, and hopefully our results, to the next level with them in 2018.”

The DXC announcement follows recent confirmation that Verizon will continue its longstanding sponsorship of the No. 12 Team Penske Chevy driven by Will Power, and Fitzgerald Glider Kits will return as an associate sponsor of Josef Newgarden’s title-winning No. 1 Chevy.

“I enjoyed working with DXC Technology and representing their brand this past season,” said Pagenaud, who earned the brand’s first IndyCar victory at the season finale in September. “DXC Technology shares a similar philosophy with us at Team Penske, which is to strive for excellence. We are very proud to work together relentlessly toward further limits in our respective industries. We were excited to get a win with them in Sonoma and everyone at Team Penske wants to build on that as we welcome them back for 2018.”
