Playoff drivers ran five of the six fastest laps in the second practice of the weekend Saturday morning at Phoenix Raceway, led by Kevin Harvick’s lap of 134.328mph.

Chase Elliott, who was fastest in Friday’s opening Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series practice, was second fastest with a lap of 134.163mph. Kasey Kahne (134.083mph) was third, followed by Championship 4 contenders Martin Truex Jr. (134.058mph) in fourth and Kyle Busch (133.869mph) in sixth. Playoff driver Denny Hamlin was fifth with a lap of 133.934mph.

Team Penske teammates and playoff drivers Ryan Blaney and Brad Keselowski struggled in the session. Blaney, who was fifth fastest in the opening session, was 20th at 132.895mph, and Keselowski was admittedly unhappy with the car and 21st-quickest time (132.841mph.)

Jimmie Johnson, who sits last on the playoff leaderboard and 51 points out of a transfer spot, was 14th fastest with a lap of 133.561mph.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. (133.725mph), Clint Bowyer (133.710mph), Kurt Busch (133.705mph) and Kyle Larson (133.700mph) rounded out the top 10.

Ricky Stenhouse brought out the caution with a spin on the exit of Turn 2 early in the session, but he kept it off the wall and didn’t suffer damage.

NEXT: Final practice at 2 p.m. ET.
