Viewership continues to trend upward during the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.
Sunday afternoon’s Cup race at Martinsville scored a 1.68 rating and averaged 2.775 million viewers on NBCSN, up 4 percent from last year’s 1.61 rating and average of 2.674 million viewers. Same-day qualifying drew a 0.43 rating/638,000 viewers. NBC Sports reports the race is the most-watched fall Playoff race this season.
Saturday afternoon’s Camping World Truck Series race scored a 0.35 rating and averaged 489,000 viewers on FS1, which in 2016 had a 0.36 rating/548,000 viewers on the same network.
Formula 1’s Mexican Grand Prix drew a 0.53 rating and averaged 825,000 viewers on NBC. Last year’s race also earned a 0.53 with an average of 805,000 viewers.
Numbers for the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series final eliminations from Las Vegas were not available.
