TV ratings: Toronto, New Hampshire

The live telecast of last Sunday's Verizon IndyCar Series race in Toronto got bumped to CNBC in favor of NASCAR...but it was replayed later in the afternoon on NBCSN following NASCAR, where it scored a 0.34 rating and averaged 530,000 viewers. That was a significant increase in audience over last year's Toronto race, which was run on June 14 and scored a 0.25 rating, with an estimated average of 196,000 viewers, also on NBCSN.

NBCSN's IndyCar qualifying coverage drew a better audience too, averaging 369,000 viewers on Saturday, when it followed live coverage of NASCAR Sprint Cup practice (462,000 viewers), suggesting NBCSN's NASCAR coverage is helping its IndyCar numbers. By comparison, NASCAR Cup qualifying averaged 425,000 viewers on Friday afternoon, while Xfinity Series qualifying averaged 287,000 mid-day Saturday, both also on NBCSN.

NASCAR Sprint Cup's race at New Hampshire scored a 2.01 rating, averaging 3.3m viewers on NBCSN Sunday. That was down from a 2.3 in 2015 and a 2.6 in 2014, when it aired on the TNT network.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series race at New Hampshire on Saturday scored an 0.76 rating and averaged 1.2m viewers on NBCSN.

The IMSA Continental Tire Challenge race from Canadian Tire Motorsports Park averaged 117,000 viewers on FOX Sports 1 Sunday.

Sunday's MotoGP race from Germany averaged 71,000 viewers on BeIn Sports.
