Two red Scuderia Corsa 488 GT Ferraris will take to the Watkins Glen International circuit this weekend to battle for the IMSA championship as well as the North American Endurance Cup title.

Entering the Six Hours of the Glen, Christina Nielsen, Alessandro Balzan and Scuderia Corsa hold an eight-point lead in the GT-Daytona championship while in the North American Endurance Cup, the duo is in third position, just three points behind the championship leaders. This weekend, they will be joined by Jeff Segal, who has scored victory with Scuderia Corsa this year at the 12 Hours of Sebring and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Nielsen looks forward to returning to Scuderia Corsa and racing the team’s no. 63 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 488 GT3 on the recently repaved Watkins Glen International circuit.

“I’m fresh off my sixth place finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France and now I’m back in the States and ready to begin my first of four races in July at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen at Watkins Glen International,” said Nielsen. “I’m really looking forward to racing on the new asphalt at WGI. This race is probably one of my favorites on our calendar this season.”

For the fifth time this season, the no. 68 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 488 GTE will compete in the GT-LeMans class. Fresh from their running-up position at the previous race in Laguna Seca, Alessandro Pier Guidi and Daniel Serra will be fighting to make up ground in GT-Le Mans North Endurance Championship.

“We are excited to go back at Watkins Glen with a full Scuderia Corsa’s efforts in GTLM and GTD classes after Le Mans victory,” said team owner Giacomo Mattioli. “We are entering halfway through IMSA championship with a good GTD Class lead with Christina and Alessandro and Team is determined to make up ground in the North American Endurance Championship this weekend.”

The Six Hours of the Glen will be broadcast live on Sunday, July 3 at 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM ET on FOX Sports 1 and, outside the US, on IMSA.TV. Qualifying will be streamed live on Saturday, July 2 from 3:40 – 5:10 PM ET on IMSA.TV.
