Persistent rain has forced the postponement of the NHRA New England Nationals’ final eliminations until Monday at 11 a.m. ET. Officials worked during the course of the day to dry the track but intermittent and steady rains forced the postponement.
Defending Top Fuel world champion Antron Brown claimed his first No. 1 qualifier of the season in Saturday qualifying. Because he had some timedown, Brown and his Don Schumacher Racing team found another way to race.

Ron Capps (Funny Car), and Jason Line (Pro Stock) will also lead their categories into eliminations at the ninth race of the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.
