Olivier Beretta, of Monte Carlo, Ricardo Perez of Mexico City, MX and Colin Thompson, of Doylestown, PA, topped the charts in GT, GTA and GT Cup for the second practice session at the Circuit of the Americas and the Nissan Grand Prix of Texas brought to you by Motul.
In GT, Beretta, in the No. 61 R. Ferri Motorsport Ferrari of Ontario/Toronto/Alberta Ferrari 458 GT3 Italia posted a 2:05.323. Guy Cosmo, of Palm Beach Garden, FL, in the No. 23 M1 Racing LLC Tampa Bay Jaw Surgery Centers Audi R8 LMS ultra posted the second fastest lap of the session with a 2:05.609. Mike Skeen, of Charlotte, NC, in the CRP Racing Hawk Performance Audi R8 LMS ultra posted the third fastest time with a 2:05.804.
In GTA, Perez in the No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari 458 GT3 Italia posted the fastest lap with a 2:06.354. Bryan Heitkotter, of Fresno, CA in the No. 05 AE Replay XD Nissan GT Academy Nissan GT-R-GT3 posted the second fastest time with a 2:07.030. Michael Lewis of Laguna Beach, CA in the No. 41 EFFORT Racing Porsche 911 GT3R recorded the third fastest time with a 2:07.055.
In GT Cup, Thompson, in the No. 11 Kelly-Moss Motorsports Porsche of Bucks County/Penn Valley Constructors/Sherwin Williams Automotive Finishes/Austin
Hatcher Foundation Porsche 911 GT3 Cup had the fastest time with a 2:10.628.
Second was Sloan Urry, of Salt Lake City, UT in the No. 02 TruSpeed Autosport Cup Engel & Volkers car with a 2:11.948. Alec Udell, of The Woodlands, TX, in the No. 17 GMG Porsche 911 GT3 Cup had the third fastest time with a 2:11.951.
Qualifying for the GT, GTA, and GT Cup classes is scheduled for Saturday at 9:30am central with Round 1 of 2015 at 2:50 pm central. All races are streamed live at http://www.world-challenge.com.
