Alex Job was among the first team owners in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship’s GT Daytona class to confirm his program’s return in 2015 with the No. 23 Heart of Racing/Team Seattle Porsche. The Florida-based entrant tells RACER his team is also getting close to confirming the return of its other program with the No. 22 WeatherTech Porsche.
“We confirmed the Team Seattle car during Petit Le Mans, and we wanted to be right up front with getting that news out, and it’s likely we’ll return with the WeatherTech car and that announcement is looking like it will come out in early November. Returning with two full-season GTD programs will be a full plate for us,” Job said.
Cooper MacNeil was in contention for the GTD Driver’s championship through the Petit Le Mans season finale in the No. 22 Porsche, and with his expected return next season at AJR, another run at the 24 Hours of Le Mans could also be on the cards.
“Cooper’s pretty busy at it is, but I think we’ll see him race at Le Mans for the third time, and what we’re suggesting there is to do a partnership with a European team,” Job added. “We’re not looking to do anything in GTLM or GTE, so we’ll stay focused on GTD and Cooper will run with another team again at Le Mans.”
