Incredible SCCA success story drives the June issue of SportsCar magazine

The June 2014 issue of SportsCar magazine, RACER magazine’s sister publication and the official member magazine of the Sports Car Club of America, is now available to all SCCA members in both print and digital form. This issue builds on the success of the magazine’s dramatic April 2014 issue redesign, and should not be missed.

Donning the cover is one of SCCA’s most recent, and incredible, success stories. For the 2014 racing season, SCCA Solo National Champion Robert Thorne moves from autocross to SCCA Pro Racing, driving a World Challenge GT McLaren MP4-12C FIA GT3 for K-PAX Racing.

Building on the theme, SportsCar then dives into the dollars and cents of professional racing. Features break down the costs of SCCA Pro Racing’s series, including World Challenge, Mazda MX-5 Cup, Trans Am, and the F1600, F2000, and Atlantic Championship Series.

For those looking to attend this year’s SCCA National Championship Runoffs at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca this October, SportsCar‘s editors also reveal the secrets to staying and racing in Monterey, Calif. This is in addition to coverage from the SCCA Club Racing BFGoodrich Tires Super Tour at Road Atlanta, member profiles, in depth series insight, and more.

SportsCar magazine is mailed monthly to the members of the SCCA. To join the SCCA, head to http://www.scca.com. Digital issues of SportsCar magazine are available to SCCA members by logging in to https://ams.scca.com.
