Two American Le Mans Series veterans will continue their ongoing partnership under a new banner in 2014. RACER has learned Townsend Bell and Bill Sweedler will move from Alex Job Racing and the ALMS GT (now GT Le Mans class) to join Level 5 Motorsports in one of the team’s GT Daytona (formerly Rolex GT) Ferrari F458s.

The Bell/Sweedler combination spent 2012 together piloting a Lotus Evora that was run by AJR, and moved to a Ferrari F458 in 2013, placing a season best fourth-place at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

The move to Level 5 by a pro-am driver pairing marks a significant shift in the team’s strategy. As RACER revealed in October, Level 5 was not expecting to compete in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship with its familiar P2 program for team owner Scott Tucker, and was evaluating taking part in the WEC.

A recent release from the team confirmed its intentions to field customer TUDOR Championship programs in PC and GTD, and with Bell/Sweedler signing on, Level 5 has its first confirmed entry in place.

?We’re looking forward to showcasing Level 5’s impressive paddock, and with credentials like ours, we’re confident that people will trust us to get the job done for them,? said team manager David Stone.
