Jarrod Krisiloff is kept very busy as a Senior Director of Marketing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but the son of Indy car racer Steve Krisiloff and a member of the Hulman-George family is planning an exciting new venture to ring in the new year, and RACER.com will be along for the ride.
“On January 1, 2014 I will be embarking on fundraising venture with two of my Ohio University classmates,” relates Krisiloff, who will graduate with a Masters from OU next year. “Together we will be participating in the Rickshaw Run, a 2,000-mile race across India in a three-wheeled 7 horsepower rickshaw for charity. Then on January 14, the rest of my OU classmates will match our 2,000 miles by running, walking or cycling. This is a huge effort which will all roll under the Race for a Reason event held annually at Ohio University.”
Krisiloff and his friends are raising money through their website to benefit the Love Hope Strength Foundation (http://www.lovehopestrength.org), which is the Official Charity of the Rickshaw Bobcats and the OU Match the Miles campaign (see below). Love Hope Strength’s mission is to increase global awareness for cancer, help fund cancer centers around the world and expanding international bone marrow databases.
You will be able to follow along with Jarrod and his friends during their trek here at RACER.com, but in the meantime, here’s a video primer about the mission of the ?Rickshaw Bobcats?:
