With a win, two podiums and a pair of seventh-place finishes in his four outings for Dale Coyne Racing this season, Mike Conway has given IndyCar Series team owners plenty to think about.

The 30-year-old Briton, who stepped out of a full-time drive with A.J. Foyt Racing prior to the 2012 season finale at Fontana, has put his road racing skills on full display this year, winning the first Detroit double-header for Coyne, backing it up with a third in Round 2, and has also claimed wins at the last two WEC races in the LMP2 class with the ADR-Delta team.

Speaking with RACER last weekend at Circuit of The Americas after he brought the G-Drive-sponsored ORECA-Nissan home to a one-lap victory (BELOW), Conway says he’d welcome a return to race in the IndyCar Series on a more regular basis.

“Ultimately, I’d love to be able to do a full road and street program in IndyCar,” he confirmed. “I’ve also been enjoying doing some of the odd events, like in the ALMS, and it has certainly improved my skill set. And I’ve really enjoyed my experience in the WEC with the G-Drive team, but at the moment, I’m exploring things to see what’s available for me out there.”

Conway is scheduled to make his final IndyCar appearance of the year at Houston next week with DCR, and could find himself right at home on the bumpy street circuit. Once the Houston double-header is over, he’ll have three more WEC races to complete before shifting his attention to 2014.

“I think with all the good results we’ve had this year, I guess there’s been more attention surrounding me,” said the 5-year IndyCar veteran. “It’s been great. I’ve been trying to speak to everyone and see what’s available and I’m hoping for something good to come through next year. There’s still a lot of racing left on the WEC calendar and still a few IndyCar races to finish up, but it feels like there’s some exciting stuff left to come.”
