Pirelli has renewed its tire supply deal with GP2 and GP3 for a further three years.
The Formula 1 tire company has also worked with GP3 since its inaugural season in 2010, and added GP2 to its books a year later. GP2 and GP3 series chief Bruno Michel said it was important that the two feeder championships shared a common tire brand with F1, and praised Pirelli’s contribution to the races’ spectacle.
“For the past three seasons this partnership has provided some of the best races in our history,” said Michel. “It is great working with Pirelli: they are very reactive and understanding of what needs to be provided in order to make our categories extremely competitive.”
