Formula 1 tire supplier Pirelli has revealed its compound choices for the races in Belgium, Italy and Singapore.
The Italian manufacturer will take the hard and medium compounds to the Belgian and Italian Grands Prix. Those choices repeat Pirelli’s 2012 selections for the venues.
For Singapore, Pirelli has chosen the medium and the super-soft compounds. Last year it ran softs and super-softs at the Marina Bay track.
The tires will all be in the same specification as used from this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix, with the 2012 construction matched to the ’13 compounds.
“The second half of the season starts off with two of the fastest and most demanding races for tires of the year, in Belgium and Italy,” said Pirelli motorsports chief Paul Hembery. “Singapore is a completely different challenge: the final street race of the season, which is ideal territory for the super-soft tires. As always, our selections have concentrated on providing the best opportunities for strategy as well as the most effective race tires.”
